Hiring now: drivers with a commercial licence near Austin - any advice?

A regional carrier near Austin is hiring drivers for local runs with home time every night. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Some offer paid training for a commercial licence. How is the pay in practice?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Check safety ratings for the company. A quick search told me a lot.
