Hiring: medical assistants and aides in St. Louis - any advice?

Several clinics and a hospital near St. Louis are hiring medical assistants, patient-care techs and schedulers. There are 13 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. They mention tuition help for people who want to train further. What is the interview process like?
