Hiring: medical assistants and aides in Chicago - any advice?

Several clinics and a hospital near Chicago are hiring medical assistants, patient-care techs and schedulers. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Some do not require prior experience for entry-level roles. What is the interview process like?
