Healthcare support jobs hiring around Madison - what worked for you?

Several clinics and a hospital near Madison are hiring medical assistants, patient-care techs and schedulers. There are 16 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some do not require prior experience for entry-level roles. Do any of these pay for certification?
