Healthcare support jobs hiring around Chicago after 14 years as a call-centre agent

Several clinics and a hospital near Chicago are hiring medical assistants, patient-care techs and schedulers. There are 14 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some do not require prior experience for entry-level roles. Do any of these pay for certification?
