Flexible shifts hiring in Wichita - what worked for you?

A grocery chain and a hotel near Wichita are hiring part-time staff. This is my first time dealing with any of this. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. Has anyone worked these shifts?

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.
