Flexible shifts hiring in Sacramento - any advice?

A grocery chain and a hotel near Sacramento are hiring part-time staff. This is my first time dealing with any of this. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. How many hours do they guarantee?

Check how they treat part-time staff for benefits. Some add them after a set number of hours.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
