Flexible shifts hiring in Raleigh - any advice?

A grocery chain and a hotel near Raleigh are hiring part-time staff. It has been weighing on me all week. Some roles have a small tuition benefit. Has anyone worked these shifts?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 13 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
