Flexible shifts hiring in Minneapolis - first time posting

A grocery chain and a hotel near Minneapolis are hiring part-time staff. It has been weighing on me all week. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. Has anyone worked these shifts?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.
