Flexible shifts hiring in Dallas (update)

A grocery chain and a hotel near Dallas are hiring part-time staff. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Some roles have a small tuition benefit. Has anyone worked these shifts?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.
