Flexible shifts hiring in Chicago

A grocery chain and a hotel near Chicago are hiring part-time staff. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Shifts are four to six hours and the pay is weekly. How many hours do they guarantee?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.

I worked evenings at a hotel. The hours were steady and the team was friendly, but weekends were busy.
