Flexible shifts hiring in Boston - 9 months and counting

A grocery chain and a hotel near Boston are hiring part-time staff. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Shifts are four to six hours and the pay is weekly. Has anyone worked these shifts?

I worked evenings at a hotel. The hours were steady and the team was friendly, but weekends were busy.
