Flexible shifts hiring in Albuquerque - what worked for you?

I am looking for part-time work that fits around school hours and found a few evening shifts near Albuquerque. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. Is the schedule really fixed?

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.
