Fair-chance hiring leads - what worked for you?

A few employers in Cincinnati say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. There are 4 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Pay starts at an hourly rate with benefits after 4 months. Has anyone worked at these places?
