Fair-chance hiring leads - what worked for you?

A few employers in St. Louis say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. This is my first time dealing with any of this. They still run a background check later but consider it case by case. Has anyone worked at these places?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Be honest, brief and forward-looking when you talk about it. They care more about what you did since.
