Fair-chance hiring leads - what worked for you?

I got a lead on a company that does not ask about convictions on the first application. Pay starts at an hourly rate with benefits after 6 months. Has anyone worked at these places?

Ask the workforce centre about bonding programmes. They sometimes help employers feel comfortable.
