Fair-chance hiring leads - what worked for you?

A few employers in Wichita say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. They still run a background check later but consider it case by case. Any other leads?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
