Fair-chance hiring leads - what worked for you?

I found a second-chance hiring list from a workforce board. This is my first time dealing with any of this. They still run a background check later but consider it case by case. Did they ask about it in the interview?

Be honest, brief and forward-looking when you talk about it. They care more about what you did since.
