Fair-chance hiring leads after 9 years as a recruiter

I found a second-chance hiring list from a workforce board. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. They still run a background check later but consider it case by case. Has anyone worked at these places?

Be honest, brief and forward-looking when you talk about it. They care more about what you did since.
