Fair-chance hiring leads after 16 years as a sales associate

A few employers in Salt Lake City say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. I worked as a sales associate before this. They still run a background check later but consider it case by case. Did they ask about it in the interview?

Be honest, brief and forward-looking when you talk about it. They care more about what you did since.
