Fair-chance hiring leads

I found a second-chance hiring list from a workforce board. There are 6 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. They still run a background check later but consider it case by case. Any other leads?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
