Fair-chance hiring leads

I got a lead on a company that does not ask about convictions on the first application. There are 9 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Pay starts at an hourly rate with benefits after 9 months. Any other leads?

Be honest, brief and forward-looking when you talk about it. They care more about what you did since.
