A few employers in Chicago say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. I worked as an HR coordinator before this. The HR contact was kind and direct. Did they ask about it in the interview?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
