Evening and part-time openings around Spokane - what worked for you?

A grocery chain and a hotel near Spokane are hiring part-time staff. I am in Spokane, in case local advice matters. Shifts are four to six hours and the pay is weekly. Has anyone worked these shifts?

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.
