Evening and part-time openings around Portland after 16 years as a software tester

I am looking for part-time work that fits around school hours and found a few evening shifts near Portland. I am in Portland, in case local advice matters. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. Is the schedule really fixed?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.
