Evening and part-time openings around Madison - first time posting

A grocery chain and a hotel near Madison are hiring part-time staff. This is my first time dealing with any of this. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. Has anyone worked these shifts?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.
