Evening and part-time openings around Denver - what worked for you?

A grocery chain and a hotel near Denver are hiring part-time staff. I worked as a procurement assistant before this. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. Is the schedule really fixed?

I worked evenings at a hotel. The hours were steady and the team was friendly, but weekends were busy.
