Evening and part-time openings around Denver - what worked for you?

A grocery chain and a hotel near Denver are hiring part-time staff. There are 9 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some roles have a small tuition benefit. Is the schedule really fixed?

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.
