Evening and part-time openings around Dallas - what worked for you?

A grocery chain and a hotel near Dallas are hiring part-time staff. It has been weighing on me all week. Shifts are four to six hours and the pay is weekly. Has anyone worked these shifts?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.
