Evening and part-time openings around Chicago - what worked for you?

I am looking for part-time work that fits around school hours and found a few evening shifts near Chicago. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Some roles have a small tuition benefit. Has anyone worked these shifts?

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.

I worked evenings at a hotel. The hours were steady and the team was friendly, but weekends were busy.
