Evening and part-time openings around Buffalo after 17 years as a data-entry clerk

A grocery chain and a hotel near Buffalo are hiring part-time staff. This is my first time dealing with any of this. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. Is the schedule really fixed?

Ask whether the schedule is posted in advance and how they handle swaps. It matters a lot with kids.
