Evening and part-time openings around Boise - any advice?

A grocery chain and a hotel near Boise are hiring part-time staff. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Shifts are four to six hours and the pay is weekly. Has anyone worked these shifts?

I got the job by going in around mid-morning and asking for the manager. Worth a try.
