Evening and part-time openings around Austin - what worked for you?

A grocery chain and a hotel near Austin are hiring part-time staff. I do not usually post, so bear with me. They can give a schedule two weeks ahead. Is the schedule really fixed?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
