I found several remote customer-support roles that do not need a degree, and I have applied to a few as an event coordinator. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The schedules are set in advance, including some weekends.

Ask about the schedule and what happens when call volume drops. Some roles cut hours in slow seasons.
