Employers that hire people with a record, Sacramento - any advice?

I found a second-chance hiring list from a workforce board. It has been a long 26 weeks. They still run a background check later but consider it case by case. Has anyone worked at these places?

Ask the workforce centre about bonding programmes. They sometimes help employers feel comfortable.
