Employers that hire people with a record, Richmond - first time posting

A few employers in Richmond say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Pay starts at an hourly rate with benefits after 4 months. Did they ask about it in the interview?
