Employers that hire people with a record, Raleigh after 9 years as a home health aide

A few employers in Raleigh say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. They still run a background check later but consider it case by case. Did they ask about it in the interview?
