Employers that hire people with a record, Raleigh

A few employers in Raleigh say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. I do not usually post, so bear with me. The HR contact was kind and direct. Did they ask about it in the interview?

Be honest, brief and forward-looking when you talk about it. They care more about what you did since.
