Employers that hire people with a record, Phoenix

A few employers in Phoenix say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. It has been weighing on me all week. They still run a background check later but consider it case by case. Did they ask about it in the interview?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 13 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
