Employers that hire people with a record, Oklahoma City - any advice?

I got a lead on a company that does not ask about convictions on the first application. There are 4 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. They still run a background check later but consider it case by case. Did they ask about it in the interview?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
