Employers that hire people with a record, Nashville - any advice?

I found a second-chance hiring list from a workforce board. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The HR contact was kind and direct. Has anyone worked at these places?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
