Employers that hire people with a record, Kansas City - what worked for you?

I got a lead on a company that does not ask about convictions on the first application. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Pay starts at an hourly rate with benefits after 5 months. Any other leads?

Be honest, brief and forward-looking when you talk about it. They care more about what you did since.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
