Employers that hire people with a record, Kansas City - 20 weeks in

A few employers in Kansas City say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. They still run a background check later but consider it case by case. Has anyone worked at these places?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
