Employers that hire people with a record, Detroit - what worked for you?

A few employers in Detroit say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. I do not usually post, so bear with me. The HR contact was kind and direct. Did they ask about it in the interview?

Ask the workforce centre about bonding programmes. They sometimes help employers feel comfortable.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
