Employers that hire people with a record, Dallas - any advice?

I got a lead on a company that does not ask about convictions on the first application. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Pay starts at an hourly rate with benefits after 7 months. Any other leads?

Ask the workforce centre about bonding programmes. They sometimes help employers feel comfortable.
