Employers that hire people with a record, Cleveland - first time posting

A few employers in Cleveland say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. Any experience at all would help. The HR contact was kind and direct. Did they ask about it in the interview?

Check your record before you apply so nothing surprises you. A free legal clinic helped me look.
