Employers that hire people with a record, Charlotte - any advice?

I got a lead on a company that does not ask about convictions on the first application. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. The HR contact was kind and direct.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
