Employers that hire people with a record, Birmingham - first time posting

A few employers in Birmingham say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Pay starts at an hourly rate with benefits after 12 months. Has anyone worked at these places?

Be honest, brief and forward-looking when you talk about it. They care more about what you did since.
