Employers that hire people with a record, Baltimore - first time posting

I got a lead on a company that does not ask about convictions on the first application. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. They still run a background check later but consider it case by case. Any other leads?

Ask the workforce centre about bonding programmes. They sometimes help employers feel comfortable.
