Distribution centre hiring near Raleigh - 3 months and counting

A distribution centre near Raleigh is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. I worked as a warehouse supervisor before this. They said to bring ID and a work history, and some people were hired on the spot. Do they hire temps first?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
